Mirak closed

Mirak Korean restaurant, located in the north Buford Highway corridor, has closed. The restaurant took over the space that was formerly Nak Dong Gang, a Korean restaurant that specialized in duck. High Meadows Indoor Farmers Market

In keeping with its mission of connecting kids with the natural environment, High Meadows School in Roswell is playing host to a large indoor farmers market featuring 40 vendors selling produce, eggs, dairy, meats, breads and more. Foodies also will delight in cooking demonstrations given by "Top Chef DC" contestant and Ray's Killer Creek chef Tracey Bloom, who will show how to use the meats and produce found at the market to create meals that are inexpensive, fresh and healthy. The market is open to the public and will offer family activities and live music. Junior League of Atlanta Tour of Kitchens

This annual event is upon us. The tour will hit 14 kitchens in Buckhead, Ansley Park, Midtown, Sandy Springs and elsewhere the weekend of March 19-20. Talk with kitchen designers and learn about the newest in kitchen appliances, the art of table setting and how to operate the Big Green Egg. Many of the area's best-known chefs will be on hand for cooking demos and book signings, including Virginia Willis, Hugh Acheson, Scott Serpas, Jay Swift, Joe Truex and Todd Ginsberg. The money raised by the event will support the Junior League of Atlanta's community efforts with women and children. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door. P’Cheen International Bistro: Mike’s Bone Lick Barbecue returns
