Get some Bud. Shamrock the Station. Cocktail class. This weekend, there's lots of fun, food events happening around town. Add one or all four events to your calendar and be prepared to eat, drink and have a grand ole time. There's lots of pre-St. Patrick's Day fun too. Cheers to weekend.
Shamrock The Station: From noon to 11 p.m. Central Park at Atlantic Station will be filled with pre-St. Pat's festivities and fare including bands, beer and dancing. Meehan's Public House, Guinness and Radio 105.7 will be on-site charming lads, lassies and even wee little leprechauns. Wristbands for alcohol will be $5 and available for guests over 21. When Irish food cravings tease, Meehan's menu will satisfy with fish and chips, shepherd's pie, a traditional Irish breakfast and more.

Pre-St. Paddy's party: The Luck of Colony Square festival in Midtown will feature parade bagpipers, drummers and Irish dancers and lots of foods from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 12 at Colony Square. 5Church, the beautifully dark restaurant with "The Art of War" inspired ceiling is slated to open this fall (the flagship restaurant is in Charlotte, NC), but will pop onto the scene with a Szechuan pork belly with spicy cabbage dish. Proceeds from the aforementioned will benefit the St. Baldrick's Foundation and its mission to conquer childhood cancers. Festival goers will also be able to trade $1 donation tickets for restaurant food samples from Colony Square restaurants and the City of Refuge "People's Food Truck" and more.

Oh, shucks: Take a class in the creation of cool cocktails and oyster shucking beginning at 3 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 12 at GRAIN. Attendees will also nibble on light bites in addition to drinking and shucking. Tickets, which are $59 and can be purchased here, admits two to the class, so bring a friend.

Burgers and Bud: To celebrate the Budweiser Clydesdales, FLIP Burger Boutique is offering a special Bud burger with Goose Island IPA mustard, onion rings, American cheese and more plus any Bud draft beer for just $10 all weekend long.
