The St. Regis Atlanta is celebrating its first anniversary by uncorking a bourbon made just for the tony hotel in Buckhead. On Friday, the resort destination will host a birthday celebration in the Wine Room and the St. Regis Bar and Patio from 5 to 9 p.m., with the party continuing to its restaurant, Paces 88, throughout the evening.

The St. Regis Atlanta Special Selection, a special blend of bourbon from the Woodford Reserve Distillery, will be tapped for the first time to commemorate the hotel’s celebration.

The hotel opened last year with much fanfare, touting its own restaurant, Paces 88, and a King Cole Bar and Lounge reminiscent of the mothership in New York. After a cool reception from local press, the dining room’s menu has morphed into less expensive offerings, though the lounge has been a hit with the St. John set from the beginning.

In the lounge, sliders from Paces 88 featuring aged cheddar cheese, 1000 Island chow chow and barbecue sauce will be complimentary;, while at Paces 88, guests can choose from a variety of bourbon-doused entrees priced under $30, from pepper steak with bourbon sauce to a chocolate-and-bourbon caramel bar, plus bourbon-inspired cocktails and bluegrass music.
