Looking for a delicious and charitable way to celebrate Earth Day? Nick Leahy,  executive chef of Saltyard restaurant in Buckhead is hosting an Earth Day Beer Dinner Celebration from 6:30-8:30 P.M. Friday, April 22 along with Athens brewery Creature Comforts, non-profit The Farmer Fund and Atlanta beer personality Ale Sharpton. Proceeds will benefit The Farmer Fund, an organization created to support Atlanta-area farmers in the face of natural disaster.

The event will feature special and limited-release beers from Creature Comforts including the popular Tropicália and Athena; a five-course menu from Leahy inspired by this spring's local produce including dishes such as charred local squash with herbed Atlanta Fresh Yogurt, Athena-chile-honey and boiled peanut gremolata and pan-seared scallops with field pea and sweet corn succotash, country ham and tomato butter; and a live auction and raffle.

The cost is $69 per person, which includes dinner, beverages and raffle entry.
