Police were called to investigate an incident involving the NFL star in Fort Worth, Texas on Saturday.

However, the woman told officers she was concerned about Manziel's welfare. Fort Worth police said they are working with Dallas police to determine if any criminal offenses occurred.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told ESPN the league was aware of the incident and "looking into it.''

In January 2015, Manziel voluntarily entered a rehabilitation facility for undisclosed reasons. Nine months later, he was pulled over by police, and his then-girlfriend said the 23-year-old had pushed her head into a window. He was not charged or disciplined by the league. In November, footage surfaced of Manziel partying with an alcoholic beverage, which resulted in his demotion to third-string. Soon after, he suffered a concussion and did not attend the team's season final game.

According to ESPN, sources have discussed the potential for new Browns coach Hue Jackson to consider parting ways with Manziel if he becomes head coach.
