The AMC series "The Walking Dead" filmed some scenes near the Cobb Galleria Centre on Monday morning. The production must like Cobb County. Last season, you may recall, the show set up shop at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, which was rendered as the Centers for Disease Control for the show. A return to that venue is unlikely, though -- it "blew up" at the end of the first season.
Gwinnett cake is great
Sugar Kneads, a Loganville bakery (sugarkneads.com), will be featured on tonight's episode of "Cupcake Wars," airing at 8 on the Food Network. Owners Brad and Tara Tomlinson are sworn to secrecy and couldn't reveal much, only that the first episode of season three had a "Kentucky Derby" theme.
