If you live or work in Midtown near the Woodruff Arts Center, we hope you weren't in a big hurry Tuesday. Cameron Diaz was there filming scenes for "What to Expect When You're Expecting." The impact on traffic was, well, about what you'd expect. The movie has filmed at the Woodruff Arts Center before, and also at Smith's Olde Bar, Piedmont Park, Charlie Brown airport and other Atlanta locations. By the way, Atlanta's food trucks appear poised to play a supporting role in the film, also starring Jennifer Lopez and Chris Rock. Part of Tuesday's filming featured Diaz in front of a rolling barbecue restaurant, while the earlier Woodruff scenes featured Anna Kendrick and Chace Crawford with The Fry Guy truck.

Party thanks emergency workers
A small fire broke out at Tavern 99 in Buckhead early on Aug. 12, but the fast-acting heroes at the Atlanta Fire Department put it out quickly. Damage was contained to a small portion of the restaurant, which is surrounded by other businesses. In appreciation, Tavern 99 plans a benefit party themed "The Roof Was On Fire" starting at 8 p.m. Tuesday. The event features music by local artists. A $10 suggestion donation will benefit the Gold Shield Foundation of Metro Atlanta, a non-profit organization that serves families of law enforcement officers and firefighters killed or injured in the line of duty.
