ROSWELL

Lego display at Honda Carland

If the kiddies need some inspiration when it comes to building that Lego set they unwrapped on Christmas, come take a gander at this sprawling display. More than 500,000 Lego pieces come together to create a massive cityscape inside the Honda Carland showroom. It’s complete with a slew of looming buildings, including a 12-foot-tall skyscraper. An amphitheater and an Oriental garden are among the highlights. The Dragon*Con parade even winds through the streets. More than 1,500 mini-figures populate this Lego city. It took Harry Nijenkamp and son Austin more than 500 hours to complete. In true “Where’s Waldo” fashion, grab a scavenger hunt sheet and track down mini-figures from Santa Claus to “Star Wars” characters scattered throughout the design.
