WOODSTOCK
“Cinderella” at Elm Street Cultural Arts Village
The story of “Cinderella” is all-too familiar, especially during the peak popularity of princesses in recent years. Yet those who yearn for a different take on the tale can give this one a try. Instead of the typical enchanted love story, this time it’s more about brains than simply beauty. The prince goes gaga over Cinderella because she’s the smartest girl he’s ever met. In addition, this production puts its own musical spin on the classic fairy tale.
July 16, 17, 20, 23, 24 and 27. $9. Woodstock City Center Auditorium, 8534 Main St., Woodstock. 678-494-4251, www.elmstreetarts.org/cinderella.
