3 fun things for June 11-13

Yacht Rock Revue at Variety Playhouse

The tribute band that specializes in being easy like Sunday morning readies for a two-night stand at Variety Playhouse. They’re dubbing the first night Summer Jams of the ’70s, which will likely include “Summer Breeze” and other have-a-nice-day era tunes that make you want to slip on mirrored sunglasses. Please Please Rock Me, Yacht Rock’s tribute to the Beatles, opens the evening. On Saturday, things go decidedly ’80s with the Reagan Rock Prom. Yacht Rock Revue delves into the lighter side of the decade. Expect some Huey Lewis and the News, Hall & Oates and Phil Collins. DJ Quasi Mandisco kicks off the evening with ’80s funk. Prom photos will be taken, and the best-dressed couple scores free passes to every Yacht Rock event for the rest of the year, plus free passes for themselves and 50 friends to the Yacht Rock Summer Concert Series July 2 at Park Tavern.

8:30 p.m. June 11 and 9 p.m. June 12. $20. Variety Playhouse, 1099 Euclid Ave., Atlanta. 1-800-745-3000, www.ticketmaster.com
