THE INSIDE FLAP / WHAT BOOKSTORES ARE SAYING

What's selling? " 'Hungry for It' by Fiona Zedde. It's a Jamaican-American lesbian romance. Her books always sell for us. It's our No. 1 best-seller. Also a new book in paperback, 'God's Troublemakers: How Women of Faith Are Changing the World.' It's by Katharine Rhodes Henderson. She's a Presbyterian minister. It's a book about how women leaders of the world who are spiritually inclined are changing the world. They're from all different backgrounds —- Christians, Jews, Muslims."
Anything else? "We're selling a lot of the new 'Gay and Lesbian Atlanta,' part of a series by Arcadia. It's by two Atlanta authors ... and the Atlanta History Center. I think folks are looking to see if they're in it!"
What's not selling? "It's on a lot of best-seller lists, but we have the new adult book by Stephenie Meyer, 'The Host,' and it's just sitting here."
What folks should look forward to: "I'm most excited about 'The Lace Reader' [by Brunonia Barry]. I read it awhile back and made everyone else I know read it. It's a story of women in Salem, Mass., who have a history of lace making and reading the future. I want to read it again."
Do you often reread books? "Actually, I don't! Who has time?"
