Kansas will dust off its string of hits to perform Sept. 30 with the Kennesaw State University Symphony Orchestra. A small percentage of ticket sales from the show at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre will go to KSU. The band, which is based in Atlanta, and tour sponsor D’Addario are also making contributions to the university.

The show continues Kansas’ “Collegiate Symphony Tour,” which it launched last year to raise funds for college and university music programs.

Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday for $37 and $57. Students with ID can purchase up to two tickets for $20 at the box office only.

In 2022, Georgia Power projected its winter peak electricity demand would grow by about 400 megawatts by 2031. Since then, Georgia has experienced a boom of data centers, which require a large load of electricty to run, and Georgia Power's recent forecast shows peak demand growing by 20 times the 400-megawatt estimate from just three years ago.
