"Since I don't smoke, I decided to grow a mustache," Spanish surrealist Salvador Dali wrote in the preface to the 1954 book "Dali's Mustache." "It is better for the health."

The devilish Dali went on to add that he carried a jewel-studded cigarette case in which, instead of tobacco, he placed several versions of fake facial hair. "Mustache?" he would politely offer friends. "Mustache? Mustache?"

In conjunction with its current exhibit "Dali: The Late Work," the High Museum of Art is hosting a Mustache Party on Friday night, Nov. 5, in which guests are invited to show off real or faux you-know-whats. To get into the mustachioed spirit, we offer up a round of Match the 'Stache in which readers are challenged to connect a celeb with his famed facial presentation.
