 Performing arts: The beloved, long-running "Peachtree Battle" will be at the Ansley Park Playhouse through June 7. Tickets range from $26 to $35.

Performing arts: "The Book Club Play" will run through June 23 at the Horizon Theatre Company. Tickets are $20-$30.

Museum: "Extreme Mammals: The Biggest, Smallest and Most Amazing Mammals of All Time" runs through Aug. 18 at Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta.

Nature: Plants take on larger-than-life proportions in "Imaginary Worlds: Plants Larger Than Life" through Oct. 31 at the Atlanta Botanical Garden in Atlanta.

Theater, performing arts: The wild and wacky comes to the theater in the form of the Atlanta Fringe Festival, running through June 9 at various locations around Little Five Points in Atlanta. Read a preview of the event here.

Performing arts: Hamlet will be at The New American Shakespeare Tavern through June 23. Tickets range from $15 to $40.

Performing arts: Stop by Agatha's: A Taste of Mystery Dinner Theatre in Atlanta for "Murder at the Stonevault Museum." The show runs until July 31 and tickets start at $65.

Performing arts: "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead"  will be at The New American Shakespeare Tavern through June 22.

Music: Acoustic Hot Tuna and Jill Sobule will perform at 8:30 p.m. June 7 at Variety Playhouse in Atlanta.

Music: Country star Vince Gill will perform at 7 p.m. June 7 at Southern Ground Amphitheater in Fayetteville.

Music: Rock band Dawes performs at 7:30 p.m. June 7 at the Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta.

Comedy: Comedian Christopher Titus performs June 7-9 at The Punchline in Atlanta.

SATURDAY

Family: The Baby Shower and Toddler Expo running June 8-9 at the Atlanta Convention Center at AmericasMart Building, features vendors, meet and greats and an appearance by baby expert Rosie Pope.  

Festival, arts: The Peachtree Hills Festival of the Arts features more than 140 artists, food, music and activities for children June 8-9 at Peachtree Hills Park. 

Festival: The Peachtree Corners Festival features a 5K, music, entertainment, food and arts June 8-9 in Norcross. 

Festival: Featuring music, children's activities, art vendors and demonstrations featuring all things lavendar, the Roswell Lavender Festival runs June 8 at Barrington Hall in Roswell.

Festival: Celebrate folk artist Howard Finster and his Paradise Gardens with several events this weekend, including Finster Fest, Man of Vision Concert and a visit to Paradise Garden. Read more here.

Music: Musicians from all genres will perform at Tunes from the Tombs at 1 p.m. June 8 at Historic Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta.

Music: Maroon 5 keyboardist/backing vocalist PJ Morton performs at 8 p.m. June 8 at Center Stage in Atlanta.

Run: Run for your life at the Zombie Run 5K at 10 a.m. June 8 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton. Appearances are expected from several "Walking Dead" actors and stunt doubles.

Animals, festival: Get hopping to Bunnyfest 2013, a celebration of all things rabbit-related, at 2:30 p.m. June 9 at Unity North Atlanta Church in Marietta.

Music: Rustic Swedish rocker The Tallest Man on Earth performs at 8 p.m. June 9 at Variety Playhouse in Atlanta.

MONDAY

Music: Rockers Fleetwood Mac perform at 8 p.m. June 10 at Philips Arena in Atlanta.

Music: British rocker Sting performs at 8 p.m. June 10 at Chastain Park Amphtiheatre in Atlanta.
