The anti-semitic graffiti was removed from the park in New York's Brooklyn borough and the next day children created their own art in its place, adding chalk drawings and hearts cut from construction paper, according to BKLYNER.

"Hate has no place in Brooklyn, NYC or America," the Beastie Boys tweeted Saturday.

They called on fans to join them and local politicians, community and faith leaders Sunday for the rally.

"Adam Yauch stood for tolerance," the mayor's office tweeted. "Call 911 if you see vandalism, harassment or hateful acts."

The park, named in memorial of Yauch, 'MCA' of the Beastie Boys who died of cancer in 2012, was the setting of some of his fondest family moments.

The New York Police Department and Parks Department are investigating the incident.
