New York Fashion Week usually bring to mind images of slim models and sleek runways, but one actress is easily turning heads with her confident, curvy figure.

Dascha Polanco, best known for playing Dayanara Diaz on the Netflix prison drama "Orange Is the New Black," decided to push herself a little out of her comfort zone and wore a sleek bodysuit to fashion designers The Blonds' show Sunday.

Polanco paired the look with a bold coat, picked for her by the designers themselves.

"(The Blonds) thought that it would go great with my personality, how I like to embrace who I am, being a Latina," Polanco told VF.com of her ensemble, designed by The Blonds. "I love Selena (Quintanilla), so I'm channeling her (with my bob) … And with the nails; just a modern type of Selena."

Polanco said her stylist, Darius Baptist, encouraged her to embrace her body, leading her to pair the coat with a bodysuit.

"Darius Baptist thought that I should wear a bodysuit and just show my thighs, since I’m so self-conscious about them," she said. "But (expletive) it, this is me, this is who I am, this is real. I was made this way. There’s people that are paying for this."

After the runway show, BuzzFeed reported that Polanco changed into a sheer black body suit and rocked the look just as hard as the one before.

Polanco's look was met mostly with praise and admiration on Twitter, too:
