Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation names 2015 Places in Peril

An old pharmacy, an abandoned hospital, a road that wound through 13 Georgia counties – these sites, plus seven more, comprise this year’s Places in Peril.
The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation released the list today. It is the 10th year the nonprofit organization has listed places in danger of wrecking balls, neglect or development.
The list is a reminder that Georgia can lose its heritage if people don’t act to preserve it, Mark C. McDonald, the trust’s president and CEO, said in a news release.
“We hope the list will continue to bring preservation solutions to Georgia's imperiled historic resources by highlighting ten representative sites,” he said.
