Anthony Williams, the delightfully sassy Atlanta designer who came in fifth season seven on "Project Runway," will return for a special "Project Runway: All Stars" edition featuring past contestants who didn't win.
While the judges were hot and cold on his design work, Williams always had a funny bon mot to say while in the design room and made for great TV for Lifetime. I haven't spoken to him in awhile and just texted and called him. I'll update this if he gets back to me to tell me what he's been up to the past couple of years.
This special edition of "Project Runway" will not feature Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn or any of the regular judges. According to Hollywood Reporter, "Angela Lindvall will host Lifetime's Project Runway All Stars, with fashion designers Isaac Mizrahi and Georgina Chapman as judges and Marie Claire editor-in-chief Joanna Coles."
Two other notable returns include the sweet and brilliant Mondo Guerra, who came in second last year although Klum wanted him to win. Austin Scarlet, an original from the first season who has his own Lifetime show with Santino, will join up as well.
The other ten contestants, according to the news report, are: Kara Janx (season two, fourth place), Elisa Jimenez (season four, 10th place), Rami Kashou (season four, runner-up), Sweet P/Kathleen Vaughn (season four, fifth place), Jerell Scott (season five, fourth place), Kenley Collins (season five, second runner-up), Gordana Gehlhausen (season six, fourth place), Mila Hermanovski (season seven, second runner-up), April Johnston (season eight, fifth place) and Michael Costello (season eight, fourth place).
Atlanta's Richard Blais came back to win "Top Chef All Stars" this past spring. So why not Anthony?
The show is set to air later this year.
