LeBron James is looking to expand beyond just being a great basketball player. He's now co-executive producing a half-hour comedy series for Starz called "Survivor's Remorse."

The show will be shot in Atlanta and the pay cable network has committed to six episodes. According to the HR piece:

The story follows Cam Calloway, a basketball phenom in his early 20s who is suddenly thrust into the limelight after signing a multimillion-dollar contract with a professional basketball team. Cam, along with his cousin and confidant Reggie Vaughn, confront the challenges of carrying opportunistic family members and their strong ties to the impoverished community that they come from. Cam, Reggie and an unforgettable group of characters wrestle with the rewards and pitfalls of stardom, love and loyalty.

James, the All-Star forward for the Miami Heat, will be working with Tom Werner (Boston Red Sox chairman), Mike O'Malley (actor and writer for "Shameless"), Maverick Carter and Paul Wachter.  Carter and Wachter are business partners with James.

The description doesn't make it clear if the show will be actually set in Atlanta.

No actors have been officially cast yet and a start date has not been set for production or for air date.

Starz is still known as a movie channel but has expanded into original series like many other networks of its ilk. Their other two series "Black Sails" and "Da Vinci's Demons" are both dark historical dramas.
