Jon Stewart on "The Daily Show" treated guest Rep. John Lewis Monday night with extreme deference but was far less respectful toward CNN's coverage of the 50th anniversary of the Selma civil rights march given the network's obsession with its drone shots of the Edmund Pettus Bridge.

He first made a gentle jab at the organizers for setting up the mikes so Lewis looked, well, really short. "Can a brother get a phone book to stand on?" Stewart cracked.

Atlanta's own CNN was super excited it was able to use a drone for the first time for newsgathering purposes and mentioned it frequently.

"One man was so moved, he remarked, 'I have a drone that one day sons of slaves and sons of slave owners could sit together and say, 'Oh, look at that.' " Stewart said, channeling a more famous speech by a certain Martin Luther King Jr.. "I have a drone that a news channel will be judged not by the content of its content but the uselessness of its gizmos!"

Stewart added, "Everyone would be fine with  your CNN technology if you just shut the f*** up about it!"
