Fox is bringing Atlanta-based "Star' back for a third season after "Empire" on Wednesdays this fall.

The network released its fall schedule today, which includes three Atlanta-produced shows. "The Resident" will return on Mondays at 8 p.m. while "The Gifted" will come back on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. "Star" will air at 9 p.m. on Wednesdays.

"Star" ratings were solid, averaging 7.2 million overall and a 1.9 adults 18-49 Live+7 rating. Only two Fox shows did better in the demo: "9-1-1" and "Empire."

"Lethal Weapon" has swapped out Clayne Crawford for Seann William Scott as a co-lead. Scott is best known as Stifler from the 1999 comedy "American Pie." Scott will play a new character who joins forces with Damon Wayans' Roger Murtaugh, as Crawford's Martin Riggs is written out.

Two new shows and a returning show are included in the fall line-up: "Cool Kids" on Friday paired with "Last Man Standing" (picked up from ABC) and "REL" on Sunday.

I have not heard whether "REL" or "Cool Kids" will be shot in Atlanta or not but a mid-season pickup called "The Passage" shot its pilot here and is expected to stay. The supernatural drama stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar, who once shot the pilot of TNT's "Franklin & Bash" in Atlanta but insisted the show be shot in Los Angeles. The series is based on a best-selling fantasy trilogy.

Overall, seven broadcast shows shot in Atlanta are returning in 2018-19 and two were cancelled. The seven returnees are "Star," "The Resident" and "The Gifts" on Fox, "Good Girls" on NBC, "MacGyver" on CBS and "Black Lightning" and "Dynasty" on the CW. The two cut: ABC's "Kevin (Probably) Saves the World" and "Valor" on the CW.

So the overall tally for now is eight broadcast shows to be shot in Atlanta. More might come.
