The doctor is no longer in. USA closes shop after eight seasons of its steady performing summer hit "Royal Pains" Wednesday.
And on Monday, you get the annual hot dog eating contest in Coney Island on ESPN, plus lots and lots of fireworks, be it in New York (NBC), D.C. (GPB), Boston (CBS) or Atlanta (WSB-TV).
Other summer series returns include "Zoo" on CBS Tuesday and "Tyrant" on FX Wednesday. And season two of Starz' "Outlander" Saturday.
This covers Monday, July 4 through Sunday, July 10, 2016.
MONDAY
"Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest" 3 p.m. ESPN — The 100th anniversary contest.
"Peachtree Road Race: Start to Finish" 8 p.m. NBC — Recounting the events earlier in the day.
"Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular" 9 p.m. NBC — Willie Geist and Tamron Hall emcee. Perfromers include Kenny Chesney, 5 Seconds of Summer, Meghan Trainor and the Radio City Rockettes.
"A Capitol Fourth" 8 p.m. GPB — Tom Bergeron hosts the celebration of America's 240th birthday, which features Smokey Robinson, Kenny Loggins, Gavin DeGraw, Cassadee Pope, Amber Riley, Jackie Evancho and Sutton Foster.
"Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular" 9 p.m. CBS — Performers include: Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas and Little Big Town.
"Devious Maids" 9 p.m. Lifetime — Rosie puts herself at risk in an attempt to prove Spence's innocence.
"Houdini & Doyle" 9 p.m. CBS (series finale) — The crew investigates when a minister in a small Ontario town awakens one day to find all dead and no sign of violence.
"Unreal" 10 p.m. Lifetime — Coleman invites Rachel to the Impact Awards.
