Carrie Underwood had a scary moment Saturday when her dogs accidentally locked themselves and her baby in the car. She had her brother in law break a window to free them.

Her latest single "Little Toy Guns": recently peaked at No. 2 on the Mediabase 24/7 country airplay chart.

Ryan Seacrest has signed a new three-year deal with IHeartMedia, formerly Clear Channel. So his syndicated morning and day-time shows will continue at least through 2018. He can be heard on Power 96.1 in Atlanta from noon to 4 p.m.

The dollar amount wasn't released but Variety notes his radio deal is among one of his bigger money makers.  He will also have more input into the inner workings of IHeartMedia. (Forbes estimates his radio deal earns him $30 million now and he pocketed $65 million last year, the third most of all radio hosts behind only Rush Limbaugh and Howard Stern.)

He told Today today, promoting Fox's "Knock Knock Live" July 21, that he will miss "Idol."

"I was scared to death when I started the show," Seacrest said. "And what was I doing with my hair and wardrobe?"

Kellie Pickler will be among the celebrities who are going to help him go door to door and give away prizes on "Knock Knock Live."  Her work with that show will delay the debut of her CMT reality show "I Love Kellie Pickler' until November.

Unfortunately, her  single "Feeling Tonight" never gained traction and the only station nationwide playing it is Sirius XM's 'The Highway."
