Atlanta rapper Waka Flocka Flame is backing Democrat Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, despite supporting Republican David Perdue for U.S. Senate in Georgia last year.

Flame, best known for his tracks "No Hands" and "Hard in da Paint," was an unlikely endorser and FaceTime pal for Perdue during last year's election. A Buzzfeed article this week reported that they connected via Atlanta GOP businessman Wilson Warren.

This year Flame announced a marijuana-influenced presidential campaign via Rolling Stone. But it appears that effort fell victim to short-term memory loss.

In an interview last month with MTV, picked up today by CNN in a piece about rappers flocking to Clinton, Flame backed the former first lady:

"We need change," he added.

When asked if he'd help Hillary with her campaign, he just had one stipulation. "She should help me with my album. If she gon' push Flockavelli 2 — I can't wait."

CNN pointed out that 50 Cent, Ja Rule and Snoop Dogg also are on Team Clinton.

Republicans' best remaining hope in the rap game might be in Atlanta, as Chris "Ludacris" Bridges has palled around with Gov. Nathan Deal and presidential hopeful Jeb Bush.
