Number of legislative days remaining: 28.

The House and Senate both are back in session at 10  a.m. Monday after a three-day break.

The full Senate has one bill on its calendar. But that beats the House.

The work goes on in committees. A subcommittee of the House Judiciary – Civil will hold a hearing on a bill related to coastal Camden County’s efforts to develop a space port.

Budget writers in the Senate are wasting no time starting their examination of the proposed 2016 amended budget, which passed the House last Thursday without a single dissenting vote.  Four subcommittees of the Senate Appropriations Committee have meetings scheduled this afternoon to look at appropriations for specific agencies.

The lone bill on the Senate calendar -- SB 279 – isn't expected to spark much debate. It would expand voting membership on the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council.
