With a hard eye on the weather, the House and Senate will convene at 10 a.m. today.

The House has four bills on its calendar, but will be lucky if it gets to one before noon, when a shutdown of state offices will take effect. That bill is likely to be H.B. 1, the medical marijuana bill sponsored by state Rep. Allen Peake, R-Macon.

The Senate has apparently taken the precautionary move of placing no bills on its calendar, given the near-certainty of bad weather.
