Days remaining in the 2017 Legislative session: 35

House budget writers meet again at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday to continue work on the amended Fiscal 2017 budget, which should reach the House floor later this week. This is the so-called "little budget," where lawmakers adjust the spending plan passed in 2016 to reflect changes to state revenue collections.

The House and Senate will convene  at 10. No bills have made it to the floor of either chamber yet –many of the most anticipated bills of the session haven't even been filed --but the Senate is expected to pass a resolution honoring the late Bishop Eddie Long, the pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia.
