Today's edition of GPB's "Political Rewind" focused primarily on the recent Trump administration to withdraw a "letter of guidance" issued by President Barack Obama, advising public schools across the nation on the treatment of transgender students.

With the implied threat, opponents noted at the time, of the withholding of federal funding should school systems do otherwise.

Taking sides were Dave Baker of the Faith & Freedom Coalition of Georgia, and Jeff Graham of Georgia Equality, an LGBT rights organization. Both groups have presences in the state Capitol.
