Democrat Jon Ossoff released the final ad of his campaign for Georgia's 6th District this week, a literal trip to the kitchen table to deliver a closing focused on slashing "wasteful spending" in Washington.

The former congressional aide stuck to a centrist message he’s embraced in the closing weeks of his campaign, eschewing anti-Trump attacks for a pitch to “prioritize high-tech and biotech research to create more good jobs in metro Atlanta.”

He delivers staring directly in the camera with no music in the background. In stark-white letters, the words “Jon Ossoff Congress” materialize in the ad’s final seconds, with no reference to his political affiliation.

It was the closing TV spot in an unprecedented spending spree from Ossoff, who has raised more than $23 million since entering the race in January – and at least $15 million since May. He faces Republican Karen Handel on June 20 in the nationally-watched contest.

Republicans have been quick to pounce on his strategy, saying he’s trying to mask his Democratic roots. Handel on Tuesday echoed many of the GOP attack ads by calling him an “ultra liberal” and “Nancy Pelosi’s hand-picked candidate.”

Here's the transcript:

JON OSSOFF: I'm Jon Ossoff, and before you vote you deserve to know exactly where I stand.

I think both parties in Washington waste too much of your money, and I’ve identified $600 billion of wasteful spending on my website.

I’ll prioritize high-tech and biotech research to create more good jobs in metro Atlanta.

Those details are on my website too. And I’ll work with anybody to do what’s right for Georgia and our country.

I approve this message because Washington should be accountable to you.
