A day after Gov. Nathan Deal tapped Chris Carr as Georgia's new Attorney General, more dominoes fell at the statehouse.
The governor endorsed Carr's top deputy, Pat Wilson, to become the new head of the state's economic development arm. And he selected David Werner, his chief operating officer, to replace Wilson as the economic development department's COO.

Two other longtime Deal allies also got promotions, as the governor continues to stock his administration with a gaggle of young conservatives.
The governor nominated Shawn Ryan to head the Georgia Student Finance Commission. Ryan is a former spokesman for the Department of Public Health who now heads the Georgia Integrated Eligibility System, which Deal's office calls the largest IT project in Georgia history. Ryan is married to another top Deal aide, communications chief Jen Talaber Ryan. He'll replace Tricia Chastain, who is now a University System of Georgia vice chancellor.
The fourth job change involves Sean Casey, a deputy commissioner at the Department of Administrative Services, who is set to lead the state's Vocational Rehabilitation Agency. Casey has worked for Deal for six years, first as a director at the Office of Planning and Budget and later as Deal's deputy chief operating officer.
