A few notes on the gubernatorial front:
First, it looks like state Sen. Jason Carter's campaign for governor may be about to gear up. From the Cleveland Plain Dealer:
Multiple sources close to the party told the Northeast Ohio Media Group this week that McGrath was on the way out -- apparently by choice and apparently for a better job.
McGrath would not confirm the reports, nor would he say where he's headed. One source said he is headed to Georgia, to work in the high command of the Jason Carter campaign. Carter, grandson of former President Jimmy Carter, is a Democratic state senator looking to unseat Republican Gov. Nathan Deal. (For what it's worth, McGrath's recent Twitter activity shows he has begun following Carter and Georgia political reporters.)

Once Carter does get started, you may be seeing this photo quite a bit, probably with a caption that begins, "Frankly, my dear…" – or some variation thereof:
Tuesday didn't just mark the beginning of Snowjam '14, it was Tourism Day at the state Capitol. Ceremonies marked the debut of the 2014 Tourism Guide, and the 75th anniversary of the movie version of "Gone With the Wind."

Our AJC colleague Jennifer Brett has identified the Rhett Butler actor Chad Sanborn. She reports that he posted this on his Facebook page: "I’m scandalous now. I'm the reason the governor didn't do anything about the snow. He was with us instead."

Finally, the Washington Post's "The Fix" blog just added Georgia's governors race to its most-likely-to-flip list, albeit the very bottom:
Gov. Nathan Deal (R) makes his first appearance on our list this cycle after a very rough week. He apologized and took responsibility for a widely panned response to a winter storm that slammed Atlanta. (Voters remember weather-related snafus.) While Deal still stands a good chance of winning a second term, his race is worth watching. State Sen. Jason Carter (D) -- grandson of Jimmy Carter -- raised over $1 million in about seven weeks. Deal, meanwhile faces a primary.
