On the 2 p.m. Wednesday edition of GPB's "Political Rewind," host Bill Nigut and I will be trying something new.

We’ll be moderating a two-man debate over “religious liberty” legislation between long-time advocate Josh McKoon, a Republican state senator from Columbus, and Brian Robinson, a Republican and former flack for Gov. Nathan Deal, who vetoed HB 757 last month.

That's at 88.5 FM in Atlanta. Click here to find stations elsewhere.

McKoon says he will continue his fight to pass the legislation despite Gov. Deal's warning he may once again veto the measure should pass the House and Senate next year. North Carolina's bathroom measure is likely to come up, as is this:

The editor of the official newspaper of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board, which headed up support for the "religious liberty" bill vetoed this spring by Gov. Nathan Deal, is questioning whether Islam is worthy of First Amendment protection under the U.S. Constitution.

Be sure to tune in.
