The Martin Scorsese/Mick Jagger HBO series about the music business in the 1970s finally has a premiere date – 9 p.m. Feb. 14.

“Vinyl” stars Bobby Cannavale as Richie Finestra, a record exec trying to resurrect his label at the dawn of punk, disco and hip-hop. Joining the Broadway/TV/movie veteran are Olivia Wilde at Finestra’s wife, Ray Romano as Finestra’s consigliere and head of label promotions and, in a recurring role, Andrew Dice Clay as a coke-addled radio station honcho. Jagger’s son, James, is also a series regular – a young musician with a striking resemblance to his father.

The show, which launches its 10-episode run with a two-hour premiere, was created by Terence Winter (“Boardwalk Empire,” “The Sopranos,” “The Wolf of Wall Street”). He, along with Scorsese and Jagger, share producer credits.

Even this 90-second glimpse of the “Vinyl” trailer is better than an entire season of Denis Leary’s “Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll,” which was inexplicably picked up for a second season by FX.
