The Atlanta Hawks are combining their popular Swipe Right Night with a performance by R&B singer Monica.

At the April 6 game against the Boston Celtics, fans will be encouraged to use the Tinder app inside the arena to match with a new connection and also possibly upgrade to a courtside seat for the in-game performance by Atlanta native Monica.

The appearance by "The Boy is Mine" hitmaker marks the first time a female singer has been invited to take the Hawks court for a performance. In recent months, Migos , Lil Yachty , 2 Chainz and Gucci Mane have provided basketball fans with supplemental entertainment.

“Atlanta is home and there’s no place like home.  I’m excited to perform during halftime for our own Atlanta Hawks and bring people together for Swipe Right Night.  This city, my friends, family and fans always show me such great love and support, this is going to be a good time for all.  I’m an Atlanta girl,” Monica said in a statement.

The Hawks are encouraging fans to get to the game early for a chance to watch Monica’s performance from the player’s bench. This VIP experience will be presented to a few people who check into the “Swipe Right” lounge – which guests who are 21 and older can access at the venue by showing their Tinder profile on their smartphones - during the first half of the game

A "Swipe Right" ticket pack containing two tickets and a $20 food and beverage credit is available at hawks.com/swiperight.
