Update Sept. 21: Fans can stream the concert at musicandunity.tumblr.com starting at 5:55 p.m. Sept. 24, as well as on other Oath brands including HuffPost.com, Aol.com, Yahoo.com and BUILDSeries.com.

The Dave Matthews Band took a touring hiatus this summer, but the recent events in their hometown of Charlottesville prompted the band to reconvene.

DMB will host an evening of "music and unity" with a free concert at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville on Sept. 24. The show will also feature Virginia native Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake, Chris Stapleton, Ariana Grande, Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes, The Roots, Cage the Elephant and more.

Tickets will be prioritized for residents of the Charlottesville area and students, faculty and staff at the University of Virginia. Attendees are encouraged to make a donation to the "Concert for Charlottesville" Fund at the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation.

An online ticket request period has started at www.concertforcharlottesville.com and will end at noon Sept. 11. A limited number of tickets will be available for walk-up for those in the area at C'ville's John Paul Jones Arena at 10 a.m. Sept. 15.
