Ciara talks baby, weight loss in behind-the-scenes video from 'Shape' cover shoot

Ciara will grace the September cover of Shape magazine (available Aug. 18) and in a sneak peek video , she talks about being a new mom and how she shed 60 pounds of baby weight.

She also has, perhaps, the cutest dog ever perched in her lap at the beginning of the video.

The Atlanta-based R&B singer said that once her doctor gave her the OK after giving birth to Future Zahir in May 2014 , she started training five-to-six days a week (two to three times per day!) and embarked on a strict eating plan that allowed for the occasional burger and fries.

Ciara split with little Future's dad , Atlanta rapper Future, in December 2014 and is currently dating Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson, which has brought its own form of drama.

In the video, Ciara comments that motherhood gave her a new level of confidence, which she was able to channel into the music on her new album, "Jackie," which is named for her mother .

Having a baby, she said, “is honestly the coolest thing that has happened to my life.”
