Overshadowed by the Sunday medical troubles of Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump's campaign on Monday sought to capitalize on Clinton's comments at a fundraiser late last week that attacked many of Trump's backers, labeling them a "basket of deplorables."
Trump's campaign says his new ad pushing back on Clinton will run in four key states, Ohio, Florida, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
"These highly offensive and divisive comments reveal the contempt and disgust for everyday Americans that Hillary Clinton has," said Jason Miller, a top aide in the Trump campaign.
