Chatter among Marvel Universe fans suggests Michael B. Jordan’s “Black Panther” character, Killmonger, may actually be making a comeback in the movie’s sequel despite his apparent death in the first installation.

But according to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, it's all "pure rumor." Feige told BET that director Ryan Coogler only just began outlining the next film. "It's early, so nothing is set yet in any way that far, because Mr. Coogler is sitting down and will share it with Nate Moore and myself in coming weeks," he said.

That doesn’t necessarily mean we won’t be seeing Killmonger again, but Feige’s comments reveal it’s just too early to tell.

According to ComicBook.com, "Black Panther 2" is slated to release in 2021.
