"The Voice" alum Zach Seabaugh joined former Gov. Roy Barnes, U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson and a host of other dignitaries at a sunrise service Sunday morning at Kennesaw Mountain, where nearly 3,000 flags stand in memory of 9-11 victims. Seabaugh performed Alan Jackson's "Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning" as the program began:

The somber event featured a military flyover, a 21-gun salute and the reading of 9-11 victims' names.
"We come together today not only to count our blessings but also to remember those who gave their lives for the freedoms we sometimes take for granted," Temple Kol Emeth Rabbi Erin Boxt said in his opening invocation. "W e think all of our heroes our servicemen and women are police officers are firefighters and our EMTs and everyone else who works in public service today."
Zach's dad, Kiwanis Club member Devan Seabaugh, was key to launching the annual remembrance. Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park Superintendent Nancy Walther thanked him and other Kiwanis members for bringing the community together each year for the tribute.
