Bobby Brown has been staying close to the hospice where his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown was taken recently but took some time away to perform at a July 4 concert on Saturday.

The last time Brown performed, in April in Dallas, he told the audience that his daughter was "awake." There was no such optimism Saturday. Brown seemed addled and apologized for forgetting lyrics.
