Forget all the "Will she run for president someday?" talk. Oprah Winfrey is getting involved in the school shooting issue right now in a big way.

Inspired by George and Amal Clooney's big donation to the upcoming March for Our Lives event, Winfrey said Tuesday she would match it.

Started by some teen survivors of the recent mass school shooting in Parkland, Fla., March for Our Lives will take to the streets in Washington D.C. and other parts of the country on March 24 to advocate for an end to gun violence. In addition to their half a million dollar donation made in the name of their 8-month-old twins, the Clooneys said they would be at the march.

Others in Hollywood are joining in, with Oscar winning director Steven Spielberg and studio head Jeffrey Katzenberg and their wives also reportedly making $500,000 donations.
