Then as now, ladies sick and tired of endless battles band together to withhold action from their men until the fellas agree to cool it with all the violence.
The New York Times calls the movie, starring Teyonah Parris as the girlfriend of a Chicago gang leader played by Cannon, "some of (Lee's) best work in years."
