Nick Cannon and his ex Mariah Carey are on good enough terms that they spent Thanksgiving together with their 4-year-old twins and he wants to meet her new boyfriend - but is himself staying completely out of the game right now.

His art is imitating life these days, as he is starring in Spike Lee's brilliant "Chi-Raq," a modern adaptation of the ancient Greek play "Lysistrata." Then as now, ladies sick and tired of endless battles band together to withhold action from their men until the fellas agree to cool it with all the violence.

The New York Times calls the movie, starring Teyonah Parris as the girlfriend of a Chicago gang leader played by Cannon, "some of (Lee's) best work in years."
