Atlanta rapper Bankroll Fresh was shot and killed at an Atlanta recording studio Friday night. Saturday morning, high-profile tributes are pouring in.

The shooting happened at the Street Execs Studios on Defoor Place, Channel Action News reported. The 28-year-old artist's given name was Trentavious White.

"Condolences to his family," radio host Rickey Smiley posted on his public Facebook page.

Rapper 2 Chainz was among those posting messages of mourning on Twitter.

Last year, 2 Chainz' record label The Real University (aka The Real U, aka T.R.U.), put out a  compilation mixtape , "TRU Jack City," to introduce Bankroll Fresh and fellow artists Cap 1, Skooly, Fresh (aka Short Dawg) and Young Dolph. ( listen to it here ).

One of Bankroll's last posts on social media was a salute to fellow rapper Fabolous, just hours before he was shot and killed. Afterward Fabolous posted a message of grief:
