Wine festival in Gwinnett County, Halloween bash in Midtown and more this week in metro Atlanta

You and your kids can dress up and head to a restaurant in Midtown and as a treat, best costumes will win cash prizes. Head to Suwannee for a food and wine festival. There are several fun, food events happening in Atlanta, so add one or all four of the following activities to your calendar. Be prepared to eat, drink and have a grand ole time.

Tuesday, Oct. 31: Head to The Mercury for a monster mash, a festive Halloween party featuring food and drink specials, a photo booth and music from 6-11 p.m. Bring the kids along for the fun since Halloween games, bobbing for apples and lots of treats will be available. Cash prizes will be given out for best costumes.

Thursday, Nov. 2: Guests will sample international dishes, enjoy live chef demos, drink beer and wine as well as listen to music during Culinary Passport Atlanta, an event showcasing the city's vibrant global food scene at American Spirit Works Distillery's The Stave Room  from 7-11 p.m. Tickets, which are $30 inclusive of tastes from all restaurants, two drink tickets for beer and live entertainment, can be purchased here. Food will be provided by local restaurants such as Irie Mon, Kimi's Bistro, Char and Bhojanic.

Friday, Nov. 3: Whiskey Walk, a bourbon tasting event at Southern Art 's chef table, will feature ASW Distillery from 5:30-8 p.m. Guests will enjoy ASW's full line of spirits while learning about each from several of the distillery's master distillers; drinks will be paired with light bites from Southern Art's chef de cuisine, David Bartlett. Tickets, which are $50 inclusive of food, drink and valet parking, can be purchased here.

Saturday, Nov. 4: The 5th annual Suwanee Wine Fest will feature samples of food, beer and bourbon; wine and cheese tastings; festival games like giant Jenga and cornhole; and more from 1-4:30 p.m. Tickets, which are $55, can be purchased here.
