How do you feel about getting free bread from a bakery for a whole year? You’ve got your chance, Atlantans, when the newest location of La Madeleine Country French Café opens in Buford on Thurs., March 31.

In celebration of opening near the Mall of Georgia at 1795 Mall of Georgia Blvd., the French bakery and café chain is hosting a Rompre le Pain (breaking bread) event at the Buford café. The first 100 guests in line at 6:30 a.m. will win a free loaf of the brand's fresh handmade bread every month for one year. The café will present the winners with certificates redeemable for a free bread of their choosing once a month during a 12-month period.

Besides freshly-baked breads and pastries, the Dallas-based restaurant chain offers French-inspired fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are currently more than 75 cafes across Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Oklahoma, Texas and Virginia. The Buford location marks the fourth Georgia location, with others in Duluth, Atlanta and Marietta.
