Where to eat chocolate in Atlanta through Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day may be a holiday for lovers, but when it comes to food, it’s is all about the chocolate. The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead is pulling out all the stops this season, celebrating love with a “14 Days of Chocolate” promotion.

From Feb. 1 to 14, the luxury hotel is offering a calendar of chocolate-themed food and drink specials and events in honor of Valentine’s Day. From a chocolate-themed Sunday brunch to special cocktails – and even spa specials that come with romantic fixins’ like chocolate truffles and Champagne – there’s something sweet for everyone.

Among the highlights, on Feb. 3 from 6 to 7 p.m., there will be a chocolate social reception featuring assorted chocolates served with Irish coffee. Feb. 4 and 5, the Lobby Lounge will be mixing up special cocktails. On Feb 4., it will be the “Mint and Six,” an after-dinner drink that holds mix of port, lime juice, chocolate mint, simple syrup and Peychaud’s bitters while on Feb. 5, it’ll be a one-night only offering of a decadaent chocolate martini dubbed Stone Fruit Truffle.

Those looking to make Super Bowl Sunday extra extravagant can hit up the The Café' for brunch on Feb. 7, when chocolate desserts like macarons, double chocolate brownies with peppermint Chantilly and milk chocolate crème brulee are added to the regular brunch menu. The Café's Feb. 13 Valentine's Day dinner features a complimentary glass of champagne, a three-course dinner and a deluxe dessert buffet for $115 per person while the Feb. 14 brunch in The Café promises a spread that'll fill the hearts and bellies of lovers of all ages.
