When traveling, I arrive at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta international Airport well in advance —not to avoid long security lines, but to dine. Think about it: If you're flying out of Concourse T (how lucky!), but you want to eat at a restaurant in Concourse D, you and your luggage have to joy ride on the AirTran then take the escalator up then take a Jill Scott-like long walk to said restaurant. But, it's absolutely worth it considering the exquisite menus some restaurants offer. Plus, after eating, you'll feel less concerned about calories since you would have burned some off during your roundtrip walk.
