A spot for the veggie-inclined is now open near Fox Theatre on Peachtree. Herban Fix takes over the space at 565 Peachtree Road that was vacated in 2011 when Dogwood Restaurant closed its doors.

Chef Wendy Chang, who previously owned Eurasia Bistro in Decatur, developed the vegan Asian fusion menu that features a variety of soups (coconut soup with vegetables, shallots, coriander and galangal; organic white bean, root vegetable and pumpkin bouillon), salads (baby organic mixed greens tossed in ginger soy vinaigrette; seasonal raw vegetables with roasted nuts), appetizers (Asian glutinous rice fused with shiitake mushroom and taro; sesame ginger soy chicken  and shiitake kebabs), entrees (taro, tofu, vegetables, mushrooms and vermicelli in hot pot and rice and noodle dishes; napa cabbage, mushrooms, carrots, fungus and quinoa roll), rice and noodles (rainbow fried wild rice with walnuts and pine nuts; soy beef noodle stew with Asian greens) and sides (roasted asparagus; organic kale).

Herban Fix expects to have its liquor license by the end of January 2016, but in the meantime partners with Edgewood spot Rawesome Juicery to offer cold-pressed juices.

The space seats about 140, with a patio, main dining area, second floor private party space and an upstairs balcony.

The restaurant is open 11 a.m.-3 p.m. for lunch and 5-10 p.m. for dinner Monday-Thursday; and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. for lunch and 5-11 p.m. for dinner Friday-Saturday. An all-you-can-eat brunch buffet is served from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, with dinner from 5-10 p.m.
