Patio party. Yoga. Street fest. There’s lots of food and fun happening around town this weekend. Add one or all three of the following events to your calendar and be prepared to eat, drink and have a grand ole time. Thank goodness it’s Friday.

Pig out on the patio: Guests can pig out on pulled pork along with traditional barbecue fixings and a beer at Seven Lamps . The patio party will kick off at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26. Tickets are $25. Grassroots Farms will also be on hand to highlight the benefits of responsibly raised, humanely treated pork.

Free yoga: Unwind, de-knot, de-stress and reset after a long week with a free yoga session the patio at Osteria Mattone from 10:15-11:15 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27. Participants will enjoy a Vinyasa-style class that is appropriate for all levels. Be sure to bring your own mat and a water bottle. Post-yoga, participants can enjoy a complimentary Bellini from Osteria Mattone. All participants will also be entered into a raffle to win a month-long membership to Lift yoga studios in Roswell as well as a $20 gift card at Osteria Mattone.

Street fest: Atlanta Streets Alive, an initiative of the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition that encourages livable streets by way of public space, will close down part of the Highland area for a free, family-friendly street party from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27! Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, skate, dance and eat. During the festivities, Queen of Cream will host a Hula-Hoop contest and give away free scoops to those who can hula the longest. Atkins Park Tavern will host a water balloon fight at 3 p.m. and will have Big Green Egg food specials and cornhole games. The tavern will also donate $1 to the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition for every pint of New Belgium sold.
