Mansion party. Ramen pop up. Book signing. This weekend, there’s lots of fun, food events happening around town. Add one or all five of the following events to your calendar and be prepared to eat, drink and have a grand ole time. Cheers to the weekend!
Book signing: Troy Gagliardo, the self-taught chef and author of "Pseudo Southern: A Playful Twist on the Art of Southern Cooking" will host a meet, greet and book signing from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14 at The Fresh Market Alpharetta . Shoppers will also be able to taste some of Gagliardo's homemade family recipes during his cooking demonstration.
Meat and music: Join Mike LaSage, chef of Bone Lick BBQ , for a carnivorous five-course tasting dinner with cocktail and beer pairings beginning 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14 at The Music Room. LaSage will use smoke and fire to create courses like tiger beef, pork osso bucco and smoked cauliflower. Tickets are $50 each. Click here to purchase.
Bowl for cause: Strike out at Midtown Bowl for Hard Rock Atlanta Café 's Strike Against Hunger, which will benefit Atlanta Community Food Bank. From 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15 guests can donate $7 or seven canned goods in exchange for two games and rental shoes.
Party with a purpose: Give thanks for good food. The Community Farmers Markets and the Atlanta Preservation Center will host Thankful Harvest , an evening filled with cocktails, seasonal fare and live music. The festivities will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15 at the historic LP Grant Mansion. Tickets are $45 each and can be purchased here. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Erskine Fountain Fund and the Grant Park Farmers Market's education and outreach programs.
Pop-up ramen series: Chef Andy Tran and Daniel Crawford of Ramen Crush ATL will host their next ramen pop-up series at Miller Union. Beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, guests will be able to enjoy a selection of starters and vegetarian and meat ramen featuring house-made broths and fresh market ingredients.
